Where’s a good place to eat around here?

Before you pack a picnic for tomorrow’s cross-country, run to your mail box and fish out  the latest issue of Flight Training magazine and read my article Eating Local: Fine Dining on the Fly. The article shares the wisdom I gained on how to find a good place to eat when you are a stranger in a strange land. Wisdom gained from 17,748 miles of cross country flying at put-put speed during my first race season. The article is another lovely three-page spread with awesome illustrations from the art department!

  1. I enjoyed reading this article in Flight Training Magazine, especially when I notices the information about the Ariston Café in Litchfield, Il. I live about 7 miles from Litchfield and we eat at the Ariston often. The food has always been very good and café is a family run business with a lot of personal attention. Not to mention it is on the historic registry since it is situated on Route 66, and has been in operation since the “Hay Day” of Route 66. It was awesome to see our favorite little place mentioned in such a publication
